Eric Musser
Eric retired from Corning Incorporated in 2025 after 39 years of service in a variety of assignments across all of Corning's businesses, culminating as President and Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure as COO, Corning's performance and growth were exceptional, and its momentum continues under the next generation of leaders that Eric selected and helped develop.
Earlier in his career, Eric served as Executive Vice President of Corning Technologies & International, where he led global strategy and performance across multiple divisions, including Environmental Technologies, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technologies, and Global Manufacturing. He scaled multibillion-dollar businesses, delivered record sales and profitability, and pioneered breakthrough innovations, such as Corning® Valor® Glass. Under his leadership, Corning achieved market leadership in emissions-control technologies and set new benchmarks for cost, quality, and safety across its global manufacturing facilities. Previously, Eric built Corning’s presence in China and later led Corning’s operations across 19 global locations as President of Corning International. He oversaw sales, business development, investment, supply chain, compliance, and other corporate functions, growing the regional team to 6,000 and positioning Corning China as a key driver of global growth. During this assignment, Eric also served as the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce - Shanghai.
Before joining Corning, Eric served five years as an Engineer Officer in the US Army. He holds a BS with a concentration in nuclear engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point and an MS in Computer Science from George Washington University.
With his retirement from Corning, Eric and his wife Lee relocated to Bradenton, FL, where they are enjoying the sunshine, the leisurely lifestyle, and frequent visits with their three adult children, their spouses, and two granddaughters.
