Jim and his wife, Susan York, live half of the year in Wisconsin and half of the year in Arizona.
In 2007-2010, when this story took place, Jim and his wife, Lara Howard York (USMA ‘83) were ~16,000 nm into a planned circumnavigation of the earth. Following Lara’s death in 2010 and Jim and Susan’s marriage in 2012, Jim was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2013. This hasn’t diminished their thirst for adventure and a life well lived.
