Marianne Malizia
Marianne Malizia is an accomplished executive development leader with more than 25 years of experience shaping leadership strategies across global enterprises, federal agencies, and military organizations. She currently serves as a founding member and Chief Operating Officer of 315 Strategies, LLC, a boutique consulting firm that helps leaders align people and systems when the path is unclear, the stakes are high, and the culture is shifting beneath them.
Previously as a member of the Senior Executive Service, she most served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manpower and Reserve Affairs within the Department of the Air Force, where she was responsible for programs supporting nearly 697,000 Airmen, Guardians, and civilian employees worldwide. In this role, she led enterprise-wide initiatives addressing family readiness, healthcare policy, harmful behavior prevention, and resilience-building for military and civilian personnel. Previously, she established and directed the Department’s first Office of Diversity and Inclusion, driving strategic priorities that advanced readiness, equity, and accessibility across the Air Force and Space Force.
Before her service in government, Marianne held senior leadership positions at XPO Logistics, where she guided global diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy, corporate learning, and leadership development programs for a workforce of nearly 100,000 employees. She launched global frameworks for employee resource groups, DEI maturity assessments, and large-scale leadership development curricula while forging strategic partnerships with industry, universities, and nonprofit organizations. Her earlier career at Booz Allen Hamilton included progressive roles in corporate learning and development, curriculum design, and diversity leadership, where she was instrumental in strengthening professional development pipelines and advancing the firm’s recognition as a top-ranked employer for workplace equity.
She is certified in multiple disciplines—including Cultural Intelligence, Human Capital Strategy, Diversity and Inclusion, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator—and is recognized for her ability to influence at the C-suite and board level. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a consistent record of integrating assessment science, adult learning theory, and organizational priorities to strengthen leadership pipelines, elevate workforce readiness, and create lasting impact in complex, global environments.
Having survived the Jungle Warfare Training in Panama earlier in her career, Marianne now lives happily, in a non-jungle environment, with her Standard Poodle, Fred. She enjoys travel, finding interesting new restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends.
