Sonny Mccauley
Kayla and I were married on 1 June 1981. We have two children, a son who is an Iraqi war veteran and geologist, and a daughter who is a professional substance abuse counselor. We have three adorable grandchildren.
I served as a Military Intelligence officer in the 82nd Airborne Division, the 7th Infantry Division, and the 75th Ranger Regiment. I also had the opportunity to be the MI Branch Representative at USMA and a tactical officer there.
After I retired, we moved to East Texas, where we lived in the country, and I taught science and coached for ten years. In 2006, I returned to active duty to teach at the Intelligence Center and School at Fort Huachuca, AZ. I retired from being a minister this year after serving three diverse churches in both New Mexico and Texas.
Kayla and I are now looking forward to traveling and spending as much time as possible with our kids and grandkids.
