William Drew Rogers
Drew Rogers spent 11 years in the Army as a UH-1 Huey and UH-60 Blackhawk pilot. After flight school he served in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Camp Stanley in South Korea, Fort Rucker, Alabama, and the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. His assignments include Section Leader, Assistant Division Aviation Officer, Airfield Commander, Instructor Pilot and Commander of a UH-60 Instructor Pilot Company.
After leaving the Army, Drew spent the next 31 years teaching math and in leadership positions in public and private schools in Georgia. In addition to teaching, he coached Cross Country, Wrestling, Track and Field, and Football. During his tenure as a coach, he has coached over 20 individual State Champions and several teams that placed in the top 3 in Cross Country and Track.
Presently, Drew is teaching mathematics at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School back at West Point. He is married to his wife of 31 years, Tonya, who is teaching at West Point Elementary School. They have 5 grown children and six grandchildren who keep them busy when they are not working.
