Pedro is a passionate leader with a demonstrated pattern of success.
History:
Pedro has over 20 years in a broad range of military and law enforcement positions. Pedro has extensive military special operations experience in both the Army and the Air Force. He currently serves as the commander of the Army Reserves Special Operations Element at MacDill AFB. He has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan and was decorated for valor in combat. Pedro is currently a Chief of Police for a city in Texas that boast a commuter transit of over 166,000 vehicles per day. Pedro is graduate of the southern Police Institute Administrative Officer Course and Harvard University Senior Executive in National and International Security.
The desire to serve veterans of all services is derived from personal understanding of the effects of combat. For some, the battle is left behind, but for many brothers and sisters in arms, the war is lifelong. Vet Rest is that organization that comes along side an individual when all the parades and award ceremonies are complete and reminds the soldier that someone still cares. Having spent time in the wounded warrior transition units after suffering an injury, Pedro can speak to the experience firsthand of the darkness that can grab hold of you and run the rest of your life as a combat survivor.
